Looking For... Dress Up Clothing

My friend emailed me. Her local JoAnn's is going out of business, and she wants to make her daughter some dress up clothes with the great clearanced out fabrics. She looked at patterns, and didn't find much that she thought she could handle.

She's like me- pattern challenged. I told her I would look around the blog world, and see if I can find any good tutorials for making easy dress up clothing.
